Wolverine PASS200 Handheld Scanner

This is a good handheld scanner, but it didn't work as well as I had hoped. It worked great for scanning individual 8 1/2 x 11 documents lying flat and would probably be fine for scanning portions of pages. Scanning full pages from books - which is what I intended to use it for - didn't produce such good results. I scanned as recommended in the manual but got blurry results about 40% of the time. The device was set to low-resolution black and white scanning. I don't think it was because I was moving the scanner too fast or not in a straight line. I scanned individual pages from a book. The photo of the Revain scanner shows it being used to scan two pages of a book, with the center of the scanner going down the middle of the binding (where the pages bend). I almost guarantee that in this case the scan will yield blurry text about two inches from where the pages bend. I will continue to use it and if I get better scans I will change my rating. But for now I'm only giving it three stars.
