Review on Navaris Wooden Magnetic Knife Holder Kitchen & Dining by Chris Horton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Strong magnet, elegant and functional.

After searching for so many knife stands that I hadn't noticed I finally found this black beauty! With so many negative reviews of other "knife holders" with weak magnets, instability, or poor quality, I chose this one based on the design, aesthetics, and price. As an architect I value a well designed product that is solidly built! In contrast to all other light wood-based materials, I really like this "darker" look of varnished rubberwood. #1 - Most importantly, the magnets are really strong (stronger than I expected) and you need to "twist" them carefully. Knives when you put them in or take them out! The surface can be scratched easily as you can see in my photo, but it's easy to repaint or sand if there are a lot of deep scratches. #2 – The weight is pretty heavy as long as you don't push too hard. on topic. Rebooting is no problem for me. On a metal base, you can put a heavy object behind it. #3 - Easy to clean, no tight crevices or corners to collect dust or water. I applied a thin coat of mineral oil to the block. #4 - The stainless steel (not plastic) base is strong but minimal, allowing you to stress it like a whetstone. Unfortunately, it looks well hidden behind a vertical block. .#5 Very small space requirement! You can put it almost anywhere, even under wall units! No problems drilling/mounting magnetic strips. If necessary, keep it. #6 The main reason I liked it so much is of course the black exterior which almost hides it and makes your knives "pop out" hanging off the countertop. Very stylish modern look that goes well with dark granite. The design just sets it above the rest! #7 Finally, the low price is amazing for what you get for less than $35! There are products that cost 2-3 times more, but do not meet all the requirements. It should last a lifetime with minimal maintenance.
