This mask is impact resistant and of course when you get hit you will hear it but you won't feel it. Eye protection is good but unfortunately limits peripheral vision. Something to note, wear a beanie hat. I am bald and although this mask offers maximum face protection from ears to back, there is nothing preventing you from getting a nice scar. Because the eye shield isn't plastic, wearing a hat won't cloud your vision.* I've added gold lines along the grooves. The base color of the mask is black and they had a gold "airbrush" but they didn't have the well defined veins that my mask had. It only took about 15 minutes with a gold marker. The addition definitely adds to my look, but it's not necessary.
