This is the fifth K&N filter I have purchased for my vehicles. I don't buy K&N filters for extra horsepower, my back doesn't tell me I have 5 extra horsepower. under the hood and my trip computer doesn't tell me that my MPG 1.0 is better than before. I buy a K&N filter because my conscience tells me not to throw out the air filter every 10,000 km or every 9 months. I like washing, re-lubricating and reusing this filter. If I get better engine response, MPG or more horsepower then bonus. There are haters who say that I over-lubricated the filter, now my mass air flow (MAF) sensor is faulty, the simple fix is not to over-fill the oil. Secondly, clean the mass airflow sensor also if you clean the air filter and your problem will be solved.
