Review on Taylor Classic Large Dial Thermometer by Diane Brown

This is my second attempt at this oven thermometer. I've only bought it twice because it was highly recommended for its accuracy and I bake a lot and need to know my oven is at the right temperature. However, both thermometers cracked and the glass on both turned grey/black in the oven. The thermometer shows up to 600 degrees. I regularly cook at 550°C and after a few uses the glass turns gray-black, difficult to see through. Also, the glass cracked the last time the oven was turned on. I'm done with this thermometer. I liked it because the numbers are big and easy to read when the glass is clean and not cracked. Now I have to buy a THIRD thermometer. Don't buy these if you don't want to waste your money.
