My daughter wanted to drill holes in wine bottles for lights for her college apartment. We bought this to be able to make a hole in the side of the bottle big enough to let the little Christmas lights through. My husband drilled holes for it with a regular drill and he said it worked like a charm. No problem cutting wine bottles. The edges were a bit sharp, so he just sanded them down a bit. She has built in little lights and they look great!
