I read all the reviews on this rug and was skeptical because of the discrepancy but THIS rug is fantastic! I have a very old house and the parquet floors are original. For example from the early 1900's so after we finished them I was told to be careful what rugs you put in. ONLY WOOL. No problem except in the kitchen. yes, they go through the whole house :), and the carpets will slide, move. won't stay no matter what I try. So I took a picture with them and I'm glad I did. The backing isn't latex like a cheap dollar store kitchen rug, but is molded into the rug for better breathability. I walked on it once and that was it, I was in love. I accidentally bought the extra and my mom liked it so much I gave it to her. And I will buy more! but watch them rise and fall so buy cheap :)
