Review on TecTecTec ProWild S Hunting Rangefinder: Angle Compensation Laser Range Finder for Hunting – Range Scan, Speed Mode, CR2 Battery, and Normal Measurements by Rafael Lee

UPDATE: Customer service replaced my first unit (after reviewing below) and the second seems to work up to 300+ yards in good light. I am now happy with the product but disappointed that the first one was faulty. Overall great customer service, good product. Original post: I was impressed to use this device on the track, less so in the field. The ProWildS is fantastic up to 100 meters, especially at its price. I've used it moose hunting and it's been flawless from 40 to 60 yards. My problem is the claimed 500+ yards which I find impossible. I took it oryx hunting in New Mexico and couldn't get any accuracy beyond 100 yards. I have tried every method, point, continuous scan and tripod scan. Even highly reflective targets were not accurate beyond 150 yards in field. The maximum usable range is about 120 yards. It should be worded better. Great under 100 yards, useless after that. Customer service is excellent, they are currently processing a replacement. Will update more after I can test the next range finder. J
