Schnoodle Rosie are my daughter's five month old puppies. I bought her this car seat. Our main concern was that Rosie could be securely fastened to the seat and that the seat itself could be securely fastened with the seat belt. This car seat offers both safety features. The seat features a hook that attaches to Rosie's harness (I don't think holding onto the collar would be that convenient). The seat itself is secured with a seat belt through two strong straps behind the back of the car seat. The seat is soft and comfortable. Rosie only weighs about 7 pounds. in my photo and we expect it to account for about 15 pounds. and she will still easily fit in this seat. It's definitely not for big dogs. I would say up to 25 pounds. Rosie threw up on him after the vet visit (nervous tummy). It was wonderfully cleared up with Nature's Miracle Spray. Emma loves taking Rosie with her and Rosie loves her car seat! Excellent purchase.
