Review on Winsor & Newton 90533 Cotman Watercolour Paint Studio Set, 24 Whole Pans by Amy Mcleod

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good pigments but bad packaging.

The colors are smooth and vibrant, but being new to painting I can't quite tell what's wrong with the green and blue. Suffice it to say that the blue ones look the same, but there are only two green ones, one of which is blue. Pans are inconvenient to handle, since there are gaps between them. I don't see the logic behind this design. As a result, the pans move constantly, stick to the stir plate or fall off when the lid is opened. I stopped arranging them based on the order of the patterns I made and I wash the container often because the colors mix, especially when wet. Pigments are lost in the process. Opening the lid requires some force. Sometimes the pressure overwhelms him. Because of this issue, I recommend choosing separate pots and buying a separate container, preferably a tin with a magnetic strip. Pigments are lost in the process.
