This is for Chevy S10 conversion. I used it in a Chevy 57 to move the engine forward 3/4 inch. My standard Gen 1 350 engine oil pan hit the center steering stem as it abruptly ended. There was a hole in the oil pan. I needed a large clearance oil pan and this worked great. I also removed the steering gear and switched to rack and pinion steering. The oil pan also clears the strut when the engine is moved 3/4" forward. I used a one-piece oil pan gasket instead of the composite gasket that comes with the oil pan.
