Very light permanent colors that can bleed quickly. I'm used to thicker, slower colors, they don't contain cadmium, so the permanent version of the primaries is fine, but it's really a local base color. If you want more range, you need to buy different shades. You need two shades of blue, two shades of green, etc. Burnt Seinn is the strongest color in the set. I assume I'll buy the more expensive $100 set or individual tubes.
