This machine just seems to work. It does most of what it claims to do most of the time, but I've noticed a few issues with it. Note that I previously had another Aukey USB hub and didn't notice any of these issues. Same laptop, same hardware. Pros: + The charger works stably. I can connect my Macbook charger to the hub's USB-C port and it charges my laptop+. Looks great and works. Same aluminum finish as MacBook. Very often when I plug it in in the morning the monitor output doesn't work. Disconnecting and reconnecting usually resolves this issue. That's not a determining factor, but if it is, it's certainly annoying. - Same problem waking my laptop from sleep. - Sometimes the above issues also affect USB devices. My mouse and/or keyboard doesn't always work and the device needs to be disconnected and reconnected. - For some reason, when I use a USB-C extension cable between the USB hub and my laptop, the USB ports don't work at all. . So I have a USB hub floating in the air between the devices. It's getting pretty hot. Maybe that's normal. Again, none of these issues are deal breaker, but they just didn't happen with my old hub. No matter how much it costs, I would like it to work more reliably. It's hard to tell if I have a bad machine or if they are all like that.
