I bought this brewing unit to make gallons of iced tea. It works. It holds 32 grams of loose tea (which I weigh on an espresso scale), although quite full. However, I did get an amazing taste of iced white and green teas from a gallon. My iced tea faucet glass holds 1.5 gallons so I just bought another of these brewers so I can brew 1.5 gallons of iced tea. A handy hook and chain make it easy to hang the strainer from the side of the glass or raise and lower it while brewing. Easy to clean, the lid closes securely and the strainer feels very solid. I drink a lot of tea and I think 24 grams in each gallon and a half pot will give me even better results. Follow the instructions for the water temperature and steeping time of the tea you buy and you will be satisfied. Very glad I bought this product. So happy that I immediately ordered a second one. I also recommend a tiny digital scale for measuring your tea. I also use one to weigh the grind of my espresso and it makes a huge difference to the quality of the drink.
