I like the fine mesh. I got the bigger 24 x 24 for my watermelons and it's working well so far. It doesn't close all the way but it still works well. I just wrapped the fabric so the small opening disappeared. I bunched the extra material under the melon to keep it off the ground. Also used them to protect my remaining sweet corn from the crows.
