They are quiet & don't distract other students.
I bought these for my son, a 7th grade math teacher. He requested them. He uses them along with other similar items as "fidgets" in his classroom. He finds that some kids with attentional difficulties do better if they have something to "fidget" with. These fit the bill perfectly.
