Review on πŸ” Celestron SkyMaster 25x70 Binoculars - High Powered Large Aperture Binoculars with 70mm Objective Lens - 25x Magnification - Includes Carrying Case by Hideo Masuda ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A good balance of price/quality, recommend it.

I've been using it occasionally for over 2 years. During this time, I managed to drop the front lens onto the asphalt, since it sits far away, only the hull suffered. We watched a solar eclipse, the Moon, the Pleiades, Chi-Ash Perseus, Jupiter (as a disk and 4 points nearby), Saturn (a disk with rings) in it. Everything looks great. Andromeda can also be seen, but more difficult, about darker galaxies - it makes no sense to talk. Considering that I took it in 2022 for a thousand for 3500-4000, it fully met my expectations)))

Pros
  • 1. Aperture 2. Rubberized body. 3. Sharp enough.
Cons
  • 1. With prolonged use, the focusing mechanism screw becomes loose and the eyepieces begin to walk freely along the guides. It is treated by removing the Celestron plug and tightening the screw. 2. There is absolutely no native "foot" on a tripod, just exhale next to the binoculars on a tripod and everything starts to dance.

Has some pros Zoom ratio, adjustment, not very bulky and not heavy. Cons: The adapter for mounting on a tripod is flimsy, the image shakes decently.

In general, a good pair of binoculars for a reasonable price (considering the exchange rate of $).
