disappointing! in shells

After several shells had burned out over the years I was looking for a model with a good whistle. Although I had never heard of this brand before, it seemed like exactly what I was looking for, so I decided to take a chance. I had to listen to my instincts. like a regular kettle. Water boils in a reasonable time and pours without dripping. However, the cap that makes the whistling sound is curved and loose on the spout, so there is no whistling sound. It's more like a pitiful little sob, so quiet you only hear it when you're really close to the kettle. This is a big disappointment. It can be seen that the spout cover is of poor quality. We've tried bending and moving it to fit snugly around the spout, but to no avail. Overall the kettle looks cheap (I seriously doubt the 'stainless steel quality' claim) and has a darker internal finish which is not smooth and gives the kettle a discolored appearance. The lid is difficult to remove for filling. In addition, this kettle must not be cleaned in the dishwasher. In general, I am not at all satisfied with the kettle, I will have to buy something else. My advice: don't waste your money. Looks cheap and poorly made.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish
