I bought this kettle to replace an old worn out one that needed to be put to rest. I'm so glad I chose this thick kettle that heats up instantly. Of all the teapots Revain has, this is not only my favorite color but also the durability. We really like the handle because it stays cool and the spout opens and closes with the push of a button. I would recommend this kettle because it is thick and keeps the water warm.

The metal is not too heavy, more like sheet steel. The whistle is weak, steam comes out from under the lid. In general I like it. The shape is nice, not at all like the chunky German teapots, although of course they could be more efficient. It's easy to clean. The spout is in such a place that the kettle has to be completely turned over to empty it. And god, he's big. But even here the water is shallow and spreads over a large area, warming up very quickly. Not bad, in general.

Don't be fooled! This product is not 100% stainless steel. I was finally able to contact the manufacturer and found out that the interior had been sandblasted for some strange reason. This means it has a gray inside that has been sprayed on and will peel off if you towel dry the inside like they tell you to. That means it gets into your water when you boil it. Rough!
