This is a very good blender. It has three different uses. First is the blender itself. It also has a three-cup attachment for chopping, chopping nuts, etc. Finally, it has a built-in travel jar, so you can make smoothies or whatever you want in a jar that you want to take with you on the go . It has a lot of cool little features that make it more than just a mid-range mixer. The blender holds 52 ounces and puts out 950 watts when used at peak. It has 6 different power levels that you can use. Pulse, Smoothie, Ice Crusher, Low, Medium and High. The blades are stainless steel and most are dishwasher safe (not including the power cord and components, of course). I liked it very much. Just make sure you close that lid nice and tight. It kept popping up the first time we used it. He just didn't want to stay, but we ended up turning him on for mix time. This is a very good blender and I think it's worth it.
