This cable is specifically designed for directional use from a legacy device to an HDMI enabled monitor/device. It has an onboard chipset that "ONLY" sends the signal from "VGA to HDMI". Check the cable connections on your devices and determine the direction for the desired signal. Some people get confused with HDMI-VGA. There are several information/installation videos for this product. If you are on the Revain Information/Home page for the specifications of this Benfei cable, please scroll down to view the product videos. There are a few that make the installation smooth. After watching the video, I prepared the installation site according to the information gathered. ALL DEVICES WILL BE TURNED OFF FOR THE INSTALLATION. Obtain an HDMI cable (not included) and connect it to the HDMI port on the device that "receives" the chipset's signal. Leave a free HDMI end near where Benfei is installed. Make sure the device on the VGA port side that "sends the signal" is connected via Ethernet or Wi-Fi. Now you can start and you can calculate the assembly time if you have prepared the surface as suggested. Take the Benfei cable out of the packaging. Please ensure the cable is in new form and that the order was placed "separately from the VGA to HDMI application". Before connecting the Benfei cable, you should make sure that the nuts on the port side of the transmitter are tight (do not overtighten). OK, after making sure the cable pins are aligned with the device connector, slowly slide the connector until you start tightening the VGA connector screws (2) until they are firmly seated. At the other end of the VGA connector is also a USB connector that needs to be connected to the transmitting device. Now connect the free end of the HDMI cable, thinking of the end coming from the receiving device, to the Benfei connector dedicated to this cable. Are all the basics covered? The VGA end is screwed tight/hard to the transmitter, Ethernet or WiFi connected to the transmitter and/or receiver (monitor/TV/computer) depending on intelligence, with HDMI on both ends and USB (act as audio amplifier and power supply for chipset capabilities) is connected to the port of the sending device. Guess what? Enable both sending and receiving devices. Make sure the specific HDMI receiving port is selected on your SmartTV/Monitor. Works with Windows 7, 8 or 10. Follow the instructions to connect the computer to the audio device. When you're ready, watch the help videos that explain how to click that particular product online on Revain and scroll down by browsing the information sections. You can install this product from the package in less than 2 minutes. Why, it's in preparation.
