Very good scanner. I have a couple of OBD2 scanners that require a laptop. You need a serial port, which my current laptop doesn't have. The other requires a USB to serial cable which also requires a driver which is very finicky. This LAUNCH OBD2 Scanner CR319 is great because it is standalone, which means it doesn't need external connection to laptop. It also does not require a battery. It's very easy to use. Just plug it into the OBD2 port. Another big plus of this scanner is that the button is big. If you work on a car with gloves, it is easy to operate without taking off the gloves. If you're working on your car or want to know what's wrong with it, buy this scanner. It can pay off when you need to get your car somewhere for the first time. My car needs an oil change every 10,000 km. After 5000 km the service light comes on. If I drive my car every 5,000 km, during that time the car is only inspected and the service light reset, it will cost more than this scanner. It pays off not having to take the car to the dealer.
