. I would call that "useful". That is, they work like speakers, but nothing special can be attributed to them. They seem like more of a novelty than anything you could actually use. I can imagine them being sold cheap by the dozen at flea markets. Installation was not as quick and easy as we would have liked. It has an audio jack and a USB jack and apparently both need to be plugged in. Once connected, I could hear them. I needed speakers as my monitor volume was negligible so I grabbed these. Yes they are a bit louder than my monitor but I wouldn't say anything special. They are not for games, movies or anything like that. The quality isn't great. I don't expect the speakers to die either, so I like to leave the volume at 100%. So, yes, for $10 you get very small, maybe a little larger than the palm of your hand, speakers the size of a small lit lightbulb. They work as they should, but don't expect them to degrade the sound quality.
