The base is not solid so you have to use one hand to hold the base and with the other try to move the release handle and the juice will flow all over you, all over the counter, all within 2 feet except for a glass or cup. This instrument poses multiple crushing and amputation hazards. Since you have to hold this thing to operate it, you could get trapped and cause serious injury. And the mess this thing leaves is worse than 4 great kids for the weekend. I've had a Sunkist juicer for years, couldn't replace the lost part so now I'm stuck on this boat anchor.
