Works! I bought this because I bought a MacBook Pro last week in mid-2017, a model with a whopping two USB-C ports and Dell/Linux output. I was so embarrassed I bought this Smay.lol dongle for work as I'm a network engineer and absolutely need ethernet of some form and to be honest for the price you can't get better than that it was a temporary purchase until I could afford something more reliable and faster, but hey, USB works for everything I throw at it and Ethernet does what it's supposed to, not the fastest in the world but not the slowest either, or it is so worth his money he buys 3 and always has a backup. or if you just bought a $900 laptop and can't afford lunch but need a key, buy this, just plug it into USB-C, not yourself
