I had a neighbor who threw away an old eMachines EL 1352g-01w computer. They've had it for the last 8 years and they even commented on internet forums that it was the worst computer ever. I asked her if I could get one as I like doing renovation projects and if I could use it. They agreed to give it to me since it was "broken" anyway and do whatever I wanted with it. It was actually very easy to fix, it just required replacing the CMOS battery and replacing the broken HDD with an SSD and reinstalling a new OS. After that I wanted to see if I could make it faster and the service and repair manual said that was the maximum amount of RAM a desktop computer could hold. After replacing the original 2GB RAM module with this 2 x 2GB module. It was a simple plug and play replacement. The system worked flawlessly without any issues or issues.
