Review on πŸ”₯ Courant Electric Burner: Compact & Portable Single Buffet Countertop Hotplate - 1000W Cooktop in Sleek Black Design by William Obong

Revainrating 5 out of 5

So far, so good. good for kitchen and dining room

I wanted to use this single burner with my Campingjackery 1000 and wanted to see if it would work with it and if so how much battery power it was using. After receiving it, I turned it on to power #5 as per the manual. The burner smoked for about 30 seconds, as expected, then the smoke died down. The surrounding metal and handle didn't get hotter than 99 degrees, so it was safe to touch. I hooked it up to a wattmeter plugged into an outlet and it read around 970-980 watts on and 0 watts off. I then hooked it up to the Jackery 1000 and when it was on it was reading 820 watts. This was at the maximum setting #5. Switching to setting #2 did not change the output, but the burner thermostat kicked in and cycled on for 18 seconds and off for 13 seconds. In #3, it was on for 48 seconds and off for 13 seconds. Back to #5, it stayed on a little longer and I didn't wait for it to turn off. it took 5 minutes. During that time, Jackery dropped from 98% to 89%, about 9%. As for temperature, I used my surface thermometer, the non-contact scanner you use to measure your forehead or any other surface. I have a feeling the thermometer is off since water boils at 200 degrees instead of 212, so take the following measurements with a grain of salt. At setting #2, the burner measured 200 degrees. In #3, the burner heated up to about 205 degrees. Didn't try #4 but did #5, it didn't go above 206 degrees. Again, I think my thermometer is off by maybe 12 degrees, so the actual temperature was probably much higher. minute of using Jackery 1000 which I think is reasonable. So far so good, but I'll update this review if anything unexpected happens.
