You get what you paid for

As long as you don't expect too much, you'll be fine. One thing I noticed is that the control knob gets hot when in use, so I had to use a glove to turn it off.

Not bad. It works. best in kitchen and dining room

Pros: Works as expected Cons: Temperature dial gets too hot to touch when I want to increase or decrease the temperature. The numbers on the button were deleted on the first day. so now I don't know where to reduce to 1 or increase to 5. I just have to guess.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons

Pretty good cooker for very little dough.

Kitchen renovation and we needed something simple until we installed new appliances. Great for heating small pans and pots (I wouldn't try anything over 10 inches and expect too much). The only problem I have is that the numbers painted on the dial are completely worn off after 3 uses. I scribbled little notches on it to give you an idea of which setting is which.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Useless features

Don't even fry the spinach. Serious?!?!?!?

We all know how VERY FAST you can sauté spinach. I poured about 2 TB of water into the pot and set the burner to maximum temperature (5). After 15 minutes, some bubbling appeared from under the spinach, but a small amount of water wasn't even remotely bubbling or boiling. I lifted the pot to see what the burner looked like. Of the three concentric rings that made up this burner, only the inner one was slightly red. At setting "5" you expect the burner to glow red hot. NO! If that doesn't even…

bacon please! in bench burners

Hi folks! I rent a room and don't like to cook; Also, I don't want to use the homeowners' kitchen, but I do use their microwave. If I want to eat bacon or whatever, I cook in my half-bath. At high speed, the bacon cooks well with minimal splattering. Also, due to the pandemic, I can brew my special Pau d'Arco tea for twenty minutes. This stove is perfect for my life situation. Please only use your fingertips to grip the protrusions on the dial. If you touch an area with numbers, they will be…

Works well but temp setting labels wear out right away

I bought two of these (black and white) and they both worked very well. The appliance heats up quickly and appears to cook evenly. She barely has enough power to cook a large pot of pasta, but if you want to put a lid on and wait a little longer, she will. A strange defect is that on both devices the paint for the numbers on 2, 3, 4, 5) that indicate how hot it is is wiped off immediately. The first unit rubbed off when I cleaned it, but then I was careful not to clean the second unit and the…

Big little hot stove. Highly recommended.

The reason I bought this little burner instead of others was because of the auto shut off. It turns out I made a good choice. I bought it to use with a coffee pot. I turn it on medium and the water boils to medium in less than 4 minutes (that's how long it takes my English muffins and eggs to cook). Before buying I read reviews that the numbers are erased but when you turn the outer ring on and off don't touch the numbers. I was willing to apply some nail polish if needed, but so far so good…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Some difficulties

So I bought this Courant burner because I needed to use it on my kitchen counter for frying (cooking and serving right at the table). When this single burner arrived I quickly discovered that I could use it for multiple types of cooking with multiple types of pans! ADVANTAGES: 1. This hotplate heats up to its maximum temperature in about 3 minutes. *** When I was preparing a vegetable and chicken roast for two, I preheated this burner on the kitchen timer for 3 minutes, then it hit the full…

So far, so good. good for kitchen and dining room

I wanted to use this single burner with my Campingjackery 1000 and wanted to see if it would work with it and if so how much battery power it was using. After receiving it, I turned it on to power #5 as per the manual. The burner smoked for about 30 seconds, as expected, then the smoke died down. The surrounding metal and handle didn't get hotter than 99 degrees, so it was safe to touch. I hooked it up to a wattmeter plugged into an outlet and it read around 970-980 watts on and 0 watts off. I…
