Useless! And unstable.

I drive a truck in all lower 48 states with a Kenwood tmv71a radio. 70cm repeater I bought this software because it can be downloaded directly from the internet instead of using the Kenwood software and manually entering everything one by one. However, the RT system software will only be downloaded from radioreference.com (allowing you to do one state at a time) if you obtain an updated account from that site. I followed the instructions that came with the RT system software to get the updated version. Radio reference account, but the reference radio website states that no such link exists. I've searched the entire Radiolink website and there is no way to get an updated account, so there is no way to download the repeater information by state. Also, the RT system software crashes every time I search for radio references and I lose everything every time the program closes. This uses a Windows 7 Professional computer. You can get repeater information from the repeaterbook via the RT system software, but it only downloads information around your chosen city and you choose the radius. The file is larger than the radio's memory if you choose a large radius and takes hours to organize by status. When you transfer information from the search box to the files window so you can download it to the radio, the repeater location is not included, eliminating the ability to order those repeaters by state and making the software even more useless than it already is. This is because I organize repeaters by state, each bank of 100 memories in Kenwood tmv71a can be scanned separately, so I make 100 memories for each state. $50 and a few hours of my time down the drain. I'm sticking with the Kenwood software and recommend you do the same. The Kenwood cable costs money, but the software is free, so you can save $25.
