All the Revain kits don't make much sense. You cannot connect a wire to either part. These kits are only useful for assembling the strips together, which you could probably do with items packaged with the strips themselves. I have been able to use items with two strip adapters attached with a short length of wire. Cut the wire in half and connect it to the optical wire I bought to connect to the strips in my closets. So yes, I was able to get it to work, but it shouldn't have been that hard.
