I put these ACDelcos on my 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 (525-21) and my 2010 GMC Yukon XL (525-68) and they did brought a big improvement to management. Both the truck and SUV will bounce down the road a lot on the train tracks, so I can feel the difference almost every day. The old shocks bounced the cars over bumps a lot, and I could feel the left-to-right wobble when towing heavy loads. I didn't realize it at the time, but the old rear shocks also contributed to the front end rocking and bouncing. The new shock absorbers have made everyday driving smoother and driving with a heavy load more stable. The truck and SUV feel more stable when unloaded, and their bouncing is much less. When my kids ride in the back of an SUV they notice a smoother ride and I'm sure if they were in the back of a truck they would say the same. I installed both rear shocks in under an hour or two. Shock bolts, one upper and one lower. An easy DIY project but make sure to wear safety goggles when installing to keep your eyes clear of debris and use a jumper bar to protect your back and shoulders. I didn't need a jack or remove the tire, just something to slide under the car and wrenches for the nut and bolt. One thing to note is that these shocks are not like stock shocks and can be retracted and extended by hand. This is intentional. Try compressing or stretching them quickly and you'll notice the cushioning aspects of this design. Then try compressing stock shocks. You will notice the difference.
