Works like a damper should.

Stick these on the back of my 2007 Yukon Denali. The original air shock absorbers that were on the truck were shot. Installed them in spring airbags along with the Firestone kit and what a difference. The shock absorbers control the rear of the truck the way it should be. So far very satisfied.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Quality

Before ordering, find out what type of damper you are buying.

Shocks - good shocks for the money. Reviewers who say they don't recover or stretch on their own don't know what they're buying. These aren't gas dampers, these are hydraulic dampers and they work that way. Hydraulic shock absorbers compress easily by hand and do not expand on their own. They are designed for use with reinforced springs. If you want gas shock absorbers, don't buy them.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Compatibility

These are Gabriel shock absorbers with a sticker ACDelco

When I went to install these shock absorbers, I noticed some inscriptions on the rubber bushings. If you look closely you can see that they are made by Gabriel for ACDelco. I don't believe in Gabriel's shocks from past experiences. I'm returning them for credit and starting my split order. There has to be some kind of disclosure or description of the product that tells the customer what they are getting. Too bad I didn't see this bushing before I started removing my old shocks.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • thin

Terrible waste of time and money

I ordered two of these shocks for my truck, they both come in separate packaging and have no compression, you can take them out and spread your arms and they did don't move up and down on their own at all, looks like some kind of manufacturing defect or something i didn't want to have anymore because i ordered two of these and they were both so messed up every hit have bought a piece of plastic before and own these hold down by their top and bottom compression, neither of them had this plastic…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Great for everyday driving and hauling

I put these ACDelcos on my 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 (525-21) and my 2010 GMC Yukon XL (525-68) and they did brought a big improvement to management. Both the truck and SUV will bounce down the road a lot on the train tracks, so I can feel the difference almost every day. The old shocks bounced the cars over bumps a lot, and I could feel the left-to-right wobble when towing heavy loads. I didn't realize it at the time, but the old rear shocks also contributed to the front end rocking and bouncing…

Pros
  • Very good value
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
