Just received and finished assembling my Bowthy gaming/computer about an hour ago. Only 2 have found the backrest won't recline no matter what I do. I can't get them out just standing. Now I have to contact MFG and get a new seatback adjuster. Let's hope they respond very quickly. (fingers crossed) Update: After talking 2 about MFG, the first thing they said was lay mech. it was good when it left the MFG factory. (Rule #1 NEVER blame the customer) and am I sure I pulled the handle? INDEED? After trying 4 for about the 33rd time, I told them it still wouldn't come out. Eventually they said they would send a replacement recliner mechanism. So my final thoughts on this: Rea will never buy from them again. u DO NOT blame the CUSTOMER, even if there is a mistake, it is not good for business. There the answer should have been: Sorry for the inconvenience, we will send you a replacement mech immediately. I have worked in customer service for most of my adult life (now retired) and I will NEVER tell a customer it was their fault even if it was. Now 4 check on the chair itself, build quality seems 2 normal, after all the push and pull, rocking up and down, tilting, pressing the back of the seat, 2 trying to get the rear seat adjustment 2 to work I would say is a solid one construction, the seat itself is about 4 inches thick (exactly what i was looking for 4) but a bit 2 hard 4 i like it so i had to add 2 a seat cushion 2 it seems the pu leather 2 b just a Cutout compared to other chairs I've tried, that's a plus. The seat width is a bit narrow for me but not critical, I'm 5'10" and 260 pounds so it's a little tight in the hip area but I can live with that. May I recommend this chair? I would just consider that @4" is the thickness of the seat, it's still a bit tight 4 I like it. You may need a cushion for the chair. I originally gave this chair 4 stars but after interacting with MFG the firmness of the seat, I dropped it to 2 3 stars Glenn
