Review on Firestone 2158 Command System Standard Duty by Jeremy Hudson

I have bought too many kits of parts for my cars including a racing bike and a 1969 Camaro Twin Turbo. I have to pass this on to Firestone, this kit is a bit expensive but surprisingly good quality.1. All wires are PRINTED for easy installation and very high quality, high amperage. I've seen this type of cable on military vehicles and jet engines. They didn't skimp here where most "kits" try to save $$ because most people take it for granted. Even the zip ties are thick and tough, not the cheap dollar store stuff. 2. The hardware is top notch. Brass fittings instead of plastic and high-quality zinc-plated fasteners. Even the tee is either nickel or stainless steel. I didn't put my magnet on it, so that's not secure, but durable anyway. 200 psi Heavy Wall Air Lines 4. Packaging. Heavy duty pockets for logical grouping of parts and fasteners, labeled and well protected. 5. Sensors and mounting housing. Very impressive. The sensor is very clear and sharp, the molded plastic is very well formed, and there's plenty of 'meat' to give you a solid base for controlling the switch. The only thing you need to complete this kit is a pair of channel and wire firewalls. I'm sure I have a few laying around so it's no big deal. Firestone employees have done their utmost to ensure this product is of excellent quality. To the right. Unless you have many flat areas that do not create an obstacle course for getting in and out of the truck, installing the control/dash panel can be difficult. I literally sat in my truck for half an hour trying to figure out where to mount this thing. In the end I decided to install it in the center console compartment. It took quite a bit of work, but I like the fact that everything is hidden now. The compressor is mounted under the back seat in a small compartment that fits perfectly. I routed the intake duct outside of the compartment so it gets cooler air. The color of the filter is exactly the same as the fabric and trim of my interior, so that worked well too. I also like the fact that they included a relay for this that doesn't require the ignition to be turned on. Overall I am very satisfied with this product.
