Updated review: It worked great until it stopped working altogether. The motor died when I was mixing salad dressing with it. Very disappointed. I really enjoyed using this blender. Sent back and received a full refund. I was surprised at the quality of this blender for the price. It appears to be well made and sturdy. So far I've used it to make smoothies and salad dressings. He easily chopped up all of the frozen strawberries that were part of the smoothie recipe. There weren't any pieces left at all. The smoothie was exactly how it should be, very smooth. I haven't tried it with ice yet. Quick mix homemade creamy Italian salad dressing I made. It sucks the contents of the jar down to the blade, where they are quickly crushed and mixed. I am happy with this blender.
