Received this lamp today. Fully assembled and very well packaged. Just mount it on your desk, plug it in and turn it on. The clip is made of durable metal but not too big. I like that the adjustment seams are tight. This will only change the position if you want it to. Everything worked as described. There are two buttons just above the clamp. The bottom on/off button does this with a quick press. Hold down and the lamp will gradually brighten. Press and hold again and the lamp will turn off. The top button changes the hue (in Kelvin) of the bulbs. Hold down and the light from the lamp will gradually get colder (more like daylight and even more so). This is good if you work with color and want to see it in daylight. I also find it the best light for detailed work. Hold the top button again and the light will get warmer, more like a soft white light and then a warmer yellowish light. Many people like to read in this light. It's also better for the night, as cooler lights contain more blue, and exposure to this light on your eyes at night can affect your sleep when you go to bed. I have checked the supplier's explanation and you can turn this light off with a wall switch or smart plug and when you turn it back on it will remember your last light brightness and color settings. All in all, this is a great lamp. I collect electronics as a hobby and that's exactly what I need for good lighting while I'm working.
