The screws are too short for a 1/2 " thick door.

Looks like time will tell. There are no instructions in the box so careful measurement is needed before drilling 2 . "Hole. I placed the hole a little close to my cabinet frame and the metal clip snapped the spring latch to hold the door shut so it wouldn't close. I had to remove 1/8" of material from the metal clip to compress the door latch flippers and allow the doors to close. Also, the included screws are too short for my 1/2" thick doors so I had to purchase longer ones.
