Review on 🍸 Godinger Dublin Double Old Fashioned Glasses, 4-Piece Set by Mike Modesto

Not Crystal, not Irish.

I wish I had read the reviews for these glasses more carefully. For the low price I knew these would not be exquisite crystals but I was under the impression that they were genuine Shannon crystals from Ireland. So I thought they could have better quality for the price. Big mistake. These glasses were made of thick, chunky pressed glass. I don't think they are crystal at all. They didn't sing, and when clicked with a finger or a spoon, there was no ringing—just a thump. The stitching was uneven and obvious, and there was absolutely no fire or sparkle in the pattern when you held it up to the light. The most disappointing thing was that each jar had a sticker that said "MADE IN CHINA". You get what you pay for. I sent them back and bought Waterford Lismore crystal glasses instead. They are made in Czech Republic but at least they are real crystal and quality. If you buy them as juice glasses for your cabin in the woods they might be fine, but I think good whiskey should be enjoyed in fine crystal.

Pros
  • Dimensions: 4" tall x 3.25" diameter
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
