Review on πŸ’ͺ Quakehold! 88111 Museum Putty Neutral: Reliable 2.64 Oz. Solution for Securing Fragile Objects by Thong Lopez

Surprisingly INEFFICIENT!

I have a lot of figures and light figures that can wobble when placed on a shelf. Also, I have a ridiculous amount of Funko Pop figures and many of them are very light weight and can't stand on their own; So I have plastic feet that I attach Funko Pops to for stability. For years I used Duck Brand Removable Mounting Poster Putty, 2 oz, White (1436912) because I had it on hand. I used the latter recently and decided to "upgrade" it to the supposedly more durable and stable Museum Putty. This product is useless as it doesn't do the only job it was designed to do, which is to hold the item in place. I coated the Funko Pop figure with putty, attached it to the plastic base and placed it on the shelf. After a few hours he fell off the base. I reapplied the putty, assuming I didn't use it enough the first time, and it tipped over after a couple of hours. I admit I may have come across an inferior batch, but I doubt it. I've used it on various items of different sizes and weights, and used putty to attach them to various types of shelves (glass, plastic, and lacquered wood) as well as small plastic coasters. In no configuration did the putty hold any object in place. I can't recommend this for anything, but I do recommend Duck Brand Poster Putty. Any items that this museum putty failed on were resealed with Duck Brand Poster Putty and after two weeks they were all firmly in place.
