Works great and fits cruise ships

Cruise ships do not allow the use of surge protector power strips. I bought a Trond extension cord because it doesn't have built-in surge protection. When I disembarked at the end of the cruise, I saw a lot of confiscated extensions at the end of the gangway. Mine was not confiscated. My ship had just been upgraded prior to my trip but there were still only 2 power outlets in the cabin not being used by other cabin items. One of the outlets available was low and behind furniture making access difficult. Thanks to Trond, I was able to charge all my devices (camera batteries, phone, kindle, fitbit) from the single outlet on my desk. The arrangement of the power sockets and USB ports on the Trond allows larger plugs and USB cables to be used at the same time. A standard extension cord cannot do this. While I can't prove it, it even seemed smart enough to recognize which outlet or port needed more power, allowing all of my devices to charge up fairly quickly considering I was using 3 or more devices at once had connected. By charging my devices while I sleep, I always wake up with devices fully charged and ready to go. That was redemption.
