It's expensive but I like the ease of use and the EDID function prevents the stupid Windows OS from ruining the screen by flipping windows, if ports are switched while the monitor is on. I turn the monitor off at night, and when I turn it back on in the morning, I find that on the port I left selected, all the windows are messed up, as if the EDID function doesn't take effect when the monitor turns on out. The product design should continue to report the same EDID in all scenarios even though the monitor is off to save power and only report a new EDID when encountering a valid new EDID. Another problem I have is that I use the hotkey to switch the port by pressing "scroll-lock, scroll-lock-number" (the number is like in the port number). The "Scroll Lock" feature on the keyboard is toggled and confuses the arrow keys in Microsoft Excel. The design of the product was to leave the "Scroll-locked" status as it was before using hotkeys to switch ports. Aside from the two issues I encountered, I really like this product, especially if there is a way to fix the issues. with firmware upgrade via USB port or Ethernet port.
