I was pleasantly surprised at how durable this furniture is - at least 1 inch solid wood for the top, shelf and legs. No chipboard, not even visible details. The table is made from 100% recycled wood, so be prepared for imperfections. The assembly was carried out with the help of screws for fastening the lower shelf and legs. The fittings were of high quality - no cross threads or stripping - and the tooling was provided. I bought a 20 inch round glass cover to protect the tree. I think one of my grandchildren will inherit this piece one day.
