I drove for nine years on a single set of LXs before upgrading to LX2s, and other than the noticeable increase in road noise, there are no noticeable variations in their performance. As someone who often travels at speeds of 110–120 km/h (having recently returned from a journey south on the M4), I deeply regret purchasing this vehicle. The tire buzz is quite distracting. has certain advantages: Very mild. Despite my high-sized tires (215x65R16), irregularities do not affect my driving. Everything works as it should on a regular road regardless of the weather in terms of handling, braking, rut stability, and rolling. They act normally in -5°C slush (this altered after the March thaw, and then there was another cold snap with snow). Good equilibrium; no more than 40 grams. Cons: They produce an awful noise as soon as the tarmac is anything other than perfect and at high speeds (well, as at speed - immediately above 100 km/h). I was driving my Tiguan when I suddenly discovered that I needed to turn the radio up to an abnormally high volume just to hear normal conversation. The guardian is a demon who hoards stones for no good reason (other than to make more noise). Although rubber may have some off-road capability, it is completely useless in truly muddy conditions. Water drainage is questionable; I've driven quickly through puddles on a few of occasions without feeling in control.
