Smooth, Balanced and Articulate Solid State Sound
This is the best sounding, modestly priced solid state headphone amp I've yet to hear. Full bottom end without the "bloat" delivered by the SMSL SAP II. Very clear and present mids. Smooth, articulate treble without the somewhat "thin" sound of the original Schiit Magni. The SMSL SAP 8's sound is real audio treat. Not sure why this amp isn't more widely reviewed. In my opinion it's a winner, even if it is somewhat a "sleeper."
