Use this to connect my fine wire fuses to my F150 to send a remote turn on signal to my amps. Works great! If you're like me and have never used one of these, it's easy: remove the fuse from the slot you want to use, plug the device into that slot, then add both the original fuse and the secondary fuse, so the line connects. connected to a wire with a metal connector. I used the correct pair of fuses so it didn't matter which went in which slot, but as I understand it the original fuse doesn't match the cable that has the barrel connector meaning it's not in the middle of it connector. The fuse you add to power whatever you plug in goes into the fuse socket that matches this extension cord. I hope that makes sense. An excellent device and a great idea that eliminates the need to eavesdrop on the radio wire!
