REALLY ROUGH SURFACES - You get what you pay for.

This bowl is beautiful at first glance. But when it comes to usage it sucks and sadly I really need it to keep cats off my yarn. When I say it's terrible in terms of ease of use, I'm referring to the area of the bowl where the yarn has to slide. smoothly through. I had a piece of yarn that I tested it with before trying the yarn I'm using for the project. Every time I tried to thread the yarn through the hole or through the swivel area, it got stuck. Since I really needed a bowl, I pulled out my handy Dremel tool and started sanding down any burrs. It was necessary for both holes and the entire spin area. The binding was absolutely terrible, and the sanding required a lot of time to get rid of the burrs and roughness and make sure the filament ran smoothly. The time required to smooth the surfaces more than doubled the cost of the shell. How do you say. You get what you pay for!
