Trying to use this turned out to be a disaster! The IC connector is too big for the EWS4 modules and requires you to solder wires to certain parts with high precision, which resulted in me destroying my immobilizer with a soldering iron that didn't have a thin enough tip. Since my car was actually bricked up, I had to have it professionally repaired and add contacts to avoid damaging the circuitry again. The software came in the form of an old CDR that no longer exists on computers. There is no website so the software had to be downloaded from somewhere by accident (good way to get a virus) and it didn't work on Windows 10. I used Windows 7 VirtualBox to run the software. It could read the keys but did nothing when reading the EWS! I even stopped reading for the night. Nothing. I know it's not a connection issue because I had the IC hooks and pins installed. Maybe you want a REAL computer from the early 2000s? This product will not work at all unless you have an older EWS module and an older XP computer with a CD drive! MY SOLUTION: I ended up taking the remote off my original key by putting a new battery in the key and putting it in the new key case! Make sure you remove the transponder from the new key or it will not start. I should have done this all along. As a result of ordering this product I destroyed my EWS, I had to get it repaired, I was without a car for a week, AND I had to buy a new car battery after it died idling for so long. .
