Bought this to help maneuver my Forest River R-Pod trailer when reversing to a campsite. The installation was very easy in my case; The trailer doesn't have a reverse light, so I connected a constant +12V power supply for the license plate light. Note that if you reverse the polarity - like I did, my trailer uses a non-standard wiring color scheme - the light on the transmitter box will not light up and the camera will not work. Luckily, I figured out what was wrong with my multimeter; After correcting the polarity, the transmitter caught fire and the camera immediately started working. It would be nice if you could adjust the camera on the mount (angle, direction, etc.), but that's a little rascal. The receiver/display cigarette lighter plug includes a USB-A adapter - a good idea from the manufacturer!
