02 Tacoma Easy Install

Tese towing at the pits, one door each for the right and left side of the car. I mounted them on my Toyota Tacoma 4x4 02. You have to take off the tires and raise the rear of the car, safety first. Disconnect the electronic brake cable from both sides. Remove the U-bolts on one side and simply loosen the U-bolts on the other side. On the side you removed the U-bolts from, you will need to use two C-clamps and tighten to compress the leaf spring before removing the center stud nut. Lower this side of the axle and watch the brake fluid lines to make sure you don't stretch them. Remove the middle screw. Release C=clips. Lubricate the top ends of the build and arrange in descending order of size. Insert new center screw. Compress the leaf spring with the screw clamps. If the center screw holes in the leaf spring are not aligned, simply move the axle forward or backward as needed. The movement of the axle changes the geometry of the leaf spring holes. Slide the nut onto the middle bolt and tighten with C=leaf spring clamps. You don't want to use the center bolt to tighten the leaf spring pack. Torque as specified. Install the U-bolts just enough to hold the axle in place, then do the other side like the first side, then tighten everything to specification. This added 2 inches to the back of my truck. I used a Pro Comp #65200 Alignment Kit for the front. , also a great easy to install product.
