Review on 🌡️ Weewooday 6-Piece W1209 Micro Digital Thermostat Temperature Controller Board with Case, 12V DC -50-110°C Electronic Temp Control Module Switch with Waterproof NTC Probe by Jonah Koehnke

They work very well in our prototype hot water control system. We have replaced the electric heater and old convection gas stove with a water heater that provides both hot water and space heating (using the old stove's water heat exchanger and air diffuser). The project isn't quite complete yet so there are cables scattered everywhere and we still have a few leaks, but we know the temperature at all the important connections so we can set up the system to work as we expect. We've replaced the included thermistors with sealed, submerged thermistors, allowing four out of five units to measure the temperature of the water in the system. The fifth measures the temperature of the air after the heat exchanger using the thermistor included in the kit. Incidentally, paired Cat 5 cables have been used to extend the connections and everything seems to be working fine, but all of our extensions are less than 3 meters long. as some others expected. Also, these are Celcius devices only. There is no way to switch to Rankine, Kelvin, or Fahrenheit scales. The only change we would like to make is to somehow add mounting holes to the base to make it easier to attach the device. We used two layers of fairly thick double sided mounting tape. Thought of using mirror mounts for mechanical attachment but decided to use duct tape instead. while it works fine. As mentioned, the cases are delivered unassembled and are a bit tedious to assemble. Be careful when tightening the circuit board mounting screws as they will not be available until the rest of the case is complete. Also, know if you want nuts on your face or on your back. We put the nuts on the front so that the back is as close as possible to our mounting plate (only the thickness of the screw head).
